"Haircup"

Some call it haircut as well, however you prefer. Vivi likes to give "Haircups" to whoever is willing to sit and have their hair tossled. My dad says this is something I used to do a lot when I was younger, and I'm hoping Vivi will keep the tradition alive! Her supplies include her Big bird brush, comb, a travel size hairspray (she just shakes near your head), a lint brush (she thinks is somehow like scissors), a blow dryer (she actually tries to plug in), and a lollipop mirror (she insists you hold up and look). Sometimes it can get a little messy but mostly it's so relaxing and precious. So far she has extended her services mostly to mommy (grin), daddy, Nana, and Aunt Em. What do you think of her clientele?

Dorian's Luau- My First Party

I've been promising all of you some pictures from my first "official" party so here they are. We had a great time hosting Dorian's 6th Luau. She had many little friends as you'll see and it was a hot day but truly a lot of fun, and I can say I actually felt energized (at least mentally) after the party. Nick was such a sport in giving people leis, serving snow cones, and taking pictures for me. Other than that, this baby is a champ and let me be on my feet for a long day! I didn't capture every shot but you'll get a good idea. Keep on the lookout as I'm sure I'll be creating a website for this business sometime in 2009. Thanks to Sherry for hiring me!

Fancy Nancy Tea Party

Nana hosted a really sweet Fancy Nancy Tea Party for her neighbor Nancy and we were invited! Vivi and cousin Chloe had a great time playing in the treats and eating them too. Nana hit the dollar store jackpot for all kinds of "fancy" items. I think you can see where I've learned my tricks of the trade in party planning. Nana did a great job hosting and it made for a sweet and fancy memory.

Summer time is laid back!

Summer time is full of fun and laid back times. I wanted to post a couple of shots of Nick and Vivi playing guitar hero, reading in the back after watermelon time, and swinging or sliding with cousin Chloe at Nana and Papa's.

Swim Party/Slumber party

We got to start a new tradition of hanging low for the 4th at Aunt Em's house. We went swimming and enjoyed burgers and dogs. Then...we headed to our house for our first slumber party with only Chloe! Chloe was happy to wear her star headband and stole the show at Braum's for a late dessert. Vivi wore it for one quick shot with a sarcastic smile. This cracks me up! We had a fun time with the girls and it gave us good practice for two kiddos!

Happy 4th of July

We had a great time on the 4th with some family traditions and some new times too. Vivi picked out her patriotic outfit with stars headband picked out by mommy. Pictures include a shot of Vivi waiting patiently on mommy and daddy to be ready. We joined up for a family tradition of meeting with the Schroeders at their old neighborhood parade. This year we got to enjoy the Carras too.
