Happy Hannukah

Last Friday Vivi had her last day at Lil' Goldman's for the year. Can you believe it's almost 2009? They had a big Hannukah party at the school and Vivi and I joined in the fun. I felt a little lost but Vivi actually new some of the Hebrew and sang a cute little song about the menorah. We had a funny window of time so we stopped in for a sweet mommy time with a breakfast at McD's beforehand.

Nana's Birthday

It seems we have a plethora of birthdays in December. So we pretty much celebrate all month long. Last Thursday was Nana's bday and we were able to sneak a way for a birthday lunch of just the girls and little Isaac. Aunt Em and cousin Chloe came in for the celebration along with a childhood friend Lissy. We had a nice lunch and danced around to Mamma Mia, taking a break from Christmas music. Hope you had a special day Nana!

Pretty Pretty Princess Nana

Trying to get creative with a little two year old and newborn is quite the challenge, but we can always count on our Nana for inspiration. The other day, Vivi pulled out her Pretty Pretty Princess game and crowned Nana. I thought this was pretty cute. Also, to any who may wonder- the beautiful pj's came from Uncle Joel and Vivi will tell anyone who asks. He brought them back from Thailand and just lately Vivi has taken to them so much I can barely get them in the wash. Plus with the cold front she freezes in them so we just put thermals underneath. Too fun.

Happy Birthday Aunt Emmy

Today is our Aunt Emmy's birthday and yesterday Vivi and I had a great time making her a bundt cake. We put on our matching heart aprons and pulled back our hair. Vivi sifted the powder sugar and mommy measured the ingredients. Vivi dumped everything into the bowl and helped me pound the peppermint candy lands (she calls candy canes). Unfortunately, I had left my camera at school from Vivi's hannukah party and so didn't capture any of this fun time visually. Even more unfortunate, our Aunt Em got a stomach bug and couldn't enjoy the cake. Oh well...I guess it wasn't meant to be. Still...I wanted to wish Emily a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Maybe we'll get some pictures as we truly get to celebrate later. Love you!

Silent Night

I got this idea to make a silent night show of Isaac's sleepy shots. Enjoy and I hope it makes you feel at peace as much as it does us.

Preschool Party-Hot Chocolate

Vivi is learning about days of the week at home and preschool. We received a nice box in the mail with some fun clothes mommy had ordered on-line including Vivi's new favorite outfit which has "Hot, hot chocolate!" on it. She was ready to wear it that very second, but instead I told her she could wear it on Friday for her preschool class party. We talked about how many days that would be since it was Sunday she had to hold out awhile but she made it. Here are some sweet shots of her and her classmates enjoying donuts, face painting, jumpy house, and painting a craft.

Are you seeing triple?

The other morning I stepped out of the shower to this image. Am I seeing triple? I think big sister is doing a GREAT job taking care of little Isaac.

Christmas parties!!!

Mommy has gotten a little more adventurous and gone out for a few parties now. It's the Holiday Season and you have to get out there. Here are a few pictures of Isaac and mommy getting ready for her book club party. I had to get this little Tree sweater. Don't you love the hat? The other shots are from our Sunday school class party. Nick is sporting the famous party pants, and Vivi refused to go unless she could wear her princess wings and carry her wand. I thought she made a cute holiday princess, so did our friend Ms. Carrie who's tickling her in this sweet last pic.

Sweet piano playing

To fight off the winter blues we've had some fun visits from friends and family. I had to post this one picture and I wished I could have captured this moment better but this will give you a glimpse. Our sweet friends the Topliss came over and brought dinner and a visit. All three girls- Amelia, Vivi & Jillian hopped on our piano bench and played some tunes. It was so precious and Angie grabbed my camera for a quick shot. As you can tell they also dabbled in Pretty Pretty Princess game- or at least the jewelry. It was a sweet moment and really lifted my spirits. Thank you to all that have spoiled us with yummy food and visits.

First Smiles

Isaac is developing beautifully and already showing a new side of his personality. I had to post a few close ups of our handsome little boy showing off his grin. Watch out ladies he may steal your heart already!

Lights with Daddy

This past weekend we laid low due to little runny noses and lack of sleep, but we still were able to get outside a little and enjoy the nice weather. Vivi helped daddy hang the outside lights and then came inside and cleaned up the kitchen. Later that night we went to an outdoor nativity play at my parents church. Vivi enjoyed seeing all the animals up close and getting to hold Baby Jesus.

Happy Birthday Jesus

We attempted our first outing sans Daddy to go to a Happy Birthday Jesus Party at the Moffits. Friends from our church organized a little party with cake, a craft, and playtime. It was a sweet time and I'm glad we made it out. We also got to show off some new matching sweaters mommy purchased on-line. Check out a few pics. Thanks for organzing such a fun time Natalie and Toma!

Decorating the Trees

Yes that is decorating the tree's' plural. We have our family tree in the living room but we also had too much fun after Vivi arrived 2 1/2 years ago and got her her own tree. Fortunately, we got it in white so we could add color with ornaments and decorations. We decked that tree out in pink last year but this year we had to add some blue touches for Baby Isaac. Enjoy the slideshow of us decorating both trees. Hope you are having fun getting ready for Christmas too!

I Want Candy

Around our house these days candy has become a new bribery. We have had some left over from Halloween (which we barely even celebrated), Vivi's birthday, and now Christmas is upon us. I wanted to post a couple of shots of Vivi with candy time including playing candyland with daddy, enjoying a lollipop while decorating, and putting the candy canes on the tree. Another candy associated thing, Vivi has taken a new liking to dancing to the song- Lollipop. We had gotten this for her birthday last year, and now she is loving it!
