So our theme for last week, really revolved around the two P's- pirates and potties! Vivian is still in school but little guy is home and we decided to devote the entire week to staying at home and really trying to work on potty training. It was a rough start but really I think we are nearly there. He is in big boy undies and has had no accidents the last two days and only one today. I knew I would be going crazy being at home so I decided we could start our themes for the summer up to keep mommy distracted from being house bound. It kind of worked! Again, we did have one outing. Isaac started swim classes so we went to the gym in the mornings and did have to pick sissy up from school. This helped! Swim was a little tough for the big guy but I think he had an excellent time with our theme. A couple of the highlights I'll mention- #1 Buried treasure in ice, Isaac with a hammer, you get the picture? #2 Treasure maps, Vivian's creativity for naming things and there love for hide and seek #3 A new pool, really the kiddy $15 one at Walmart and a couple of old pirates #4 Pirate tatoos and some non-washable markers Isaac got a hold of- still trying to get them off!!

Field Day

Okay, let me just say a disclaimer for all those without kids in school yet, field day is not what you remember! I remember just running around a hot open field. Our field day involved bounce houses, snow cones, moving in and outside between stations, and lots of water activity. The kids had a blast and I think mommy may have lost a few pounds trying to keep up. Here's a couple of shots of Vivian and oh yes, Isaac too in the mix. You know what this means, the end of the school year is quickly approaching and if you've been following my blog for any length of time you know this is when I kick it in to gear! We will be starting our themes this week, so check back in if you want hopefully weekly updates. I won't tell you the first theme...but I'll give you a hint. Aaargh, you ready?

Isaac's last few days of preschool

In the last few days of preschool, Isaac got to perform a music number and a gymnastics bit. These aren't the best shots, but I was so proud of him. He was actually listening and following instructions. It gave me hope for his school career.

My newest little nephew has finally arrived and he was worth the wait! He came in almost two weeks ago over 8 pounds and just sweet as can be. He has a full head of dark hair and his daddy's forehead. He's just precious and a laid back baby. Mommy, Daddy, and big sister can't be more thrilled and neither can my crew. Here's some shots of us holding the little guy! Christian Blake you are one blessed baby!

All kind of Hatching!

We have all kinds of little ones hatching. We discovered in our little nest out front we had eggs again this year and 5 birds hatched!! We thought they were gone but they have been returning. Here's a couple of shots of their progression over the last weeks. They aren't the only thing hatching! Check out my next post for details.

Last Game & Obstacle course

Quickly our soccer season has come to a close. That's one of the things I really liked about this program 6 weeks! Vivian had a blast and really found her niche in the last game as goalie. She would have made her Aunt Janna proud! She really had fun getting to know some of the kiddos and us some of the families. We had a great coach and hope we get to play with some of these kiddos again real soon. After the last game, there was a big function going on at the Y and Nick and Isaac stayed to participate in the obstacle course for a couple of hours! Good fun!

Daddy's few artistic shots

I mostly just wanted to dote on my hubbie for a minute and show off what he discovered he can do with shots on his I phone. Check these two out!

Nick's Birthday

I've decided the older you get the more boring your parties become. I think for me the party planner, I have a hard time accepting this fact, but for my low key husband it seems just fine. This year, we asked him what his favorite cake is and he quickly said ice cream cake. I know this is a tradition at his family to have ice cream cake but I guess I never realized how much he liked it! Silly me I know! So, the kids and I went to Coldstone Creamery to get him some ice cream cupcakes. They were good and the kids previewed the ice cream for daddy to just check. He also got a gift card to a favorite Best buy and a lunch to a new favorite Salsa Fuego. If you haven't tried it yet, and you can save up on some calories to splurge this would be worth the splurge! Everything is covered in bacon and the blue cheese bacon burger is fantastic!!! He did get one fun gift in the mail from his mom- a juicer! The kids have really enjoyed watching daddy try out new veggie and fruit combos in it. They love the carrot combo of any kind. We are discovering more and more about juicing and having a good time in the process.

Picnic with Dad

I couldn't resist posting this cute shot of Isaac enjoying Panda with daddy on the front lawn. So precious!!
