Halloween Clowns

This year for Halloween we decided to all be clowns. We usually do a family themed costume for my sister's bash and I fell in love with this costume for Vivi. I figured in my condition, I would make a believable clown. Everyone kept looking at my belly wondering if it was part of the costume or if I was really pregnant. I guess that's a compliment. Vivi also got into it not wanting to take her costume off and wanting full make-up like mommy as you'll see. Nick got props for "really" dressing it up this year. He also got many thanks from his wife for taking Vivi to trunk or treat at our church the next night. They must have had a pretty good time because they rocked out for almost two hours!

Benbrook Cowboy Festival

Okay, so I'm a bit behind but I did want to mention that last weekend we went to a cowboy festival here in Benbrook. Daddy was off in the morning so the girls went in the morning, but we had such a nice time we took daddy back in the afternoon. It was free and quite literally across the street from us. Vivi loved all the animals, the bounce house, getting her nails done, and the train. I especially loved the turkey. I found a kinship there, I guess because I'm carrying the turkey baby.

Feeding the baby

Vivi took a major interest in mommy's belly yesterday for whatever reason. She couldn't focus on her own dinner but she was intent on feeding the baby. She asked if she could give the baby her bottle. Yes, she most frequently refers to the baby as a baby sister. Check out this shot! Cracks me up! What a good big sister she is training to be.

Pumpkin Patch

We made our annual truck to the Pumpkin Patch out in Flower Mound. This year to mix it up we brought the grandparents along. It was a fun day and honestly I'm excited we got as many pics as we did considering it was warm, and neither girls napped at all that day! We made some sweet memories and enjoyed some pumpkin times.

Sweet hubby

As some of you may have heard now, I was just diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Needless to say, it has been a big adjustment. I feel the need to apologize to any and every friend who's had to fervently diet in their lives for my insensitivity. I know God has purpose in it, but it won't be easy. Having just received this news as well, I am ignorant and don't know all that will be involved but I am already calling on others for support. Unfortunately, both Nick and I lack knowledge about this diagnosis and it has lead to some tough conversations. In an effort to bring me a totally unexpected smile Nick left these flowers on our kitchen table today. He said, "The beauty of roses is the smiles without the carbs!" PERFECT!

Ellen's Nemo Party

Well, I hosted my second out of family party- Ellen's Nemo Party. Check out the slideshow to catch a glimpse. It was a great afternoon with yummy food and fun swim time. Fortunately, the warm weather stuck around for one more weekend so the kids could get in the pool. With 2 year olds there weren't as many games but lots of fun bubble time and hanging out. The sweetest moment was watching Ellen get so excited everyone sang Happy Birthday for her that she was crying. It was precious. Thanks for hiring me Rachel!
