Weekend without daddies

Our guys got the first "real" hunt of the season. The kind where they leave us for the weekend to go way down to Goliad in hopes to catch something. The kind where my sister and I get together and do slumber parties, eating out, and whatever else we can enjoy. This time we headed to my sisters for a little playtime Friday night. We ate at the lovely Mooyah's and headed to a Dollar store for some cute little cups and halloween paintings. The girls had a good time with this, and Isaac enjoyed the beads. Saturday we headed to our side of town for the annual cowboy festival which is a lot of fun and my favorite FREE! Nana and Papa joined in for the fun this time. Saturday night we had wore our kids out so they went down without a fight. My sister and mom came back over for popcorn and a good rental- "The Proposal". Sunday we all headed to our churches and then over here for some Pei wei and more fun times. Mom watched the kids during nap hours and Em and I escaped to Old Navy where we found these precious shirts for the girls- Daddy is deer to my heart. We had the girls all decked out for when their daddies got back home. Meanwhile, Nick moved from archer status to hunter. It was a really wonderful weekend all around!

Fun Date with Daddy

This weekend Daddy and Vivi got to have a special date. I truly believed my getting sick was a blessing because it allowed this really special time for these two together. Nick's company offered free tickets to Six Flags and Nick got to take Vivi. We thought she's be scared and timid but Nick said he asked her if she was scared after the roller coaster and her reply... "Let's go again!" She had a blast!

Go Cowboys!

I just had to say "GO COWBOYS!" Not that I should probably really celebrate what should have been such an easy win but it was a win nonetheless. I had to bust out this pic of Isaac. He really enjoyed watching some of the game with his daddy.

Sweet Pumpkins

I'm not sure how but October has already gotten so crazy. We decided to try something different this year. Instead of the full out pumpkin patch we took the kids to this AWESOME nursery near my sister's place. They had all kinds of fun for the kids- making slime, painting pumpkins, free popcorn, and of course lots and lots of sweet pumpkins, gourds, and plants. I think we captured some sweet shots of the kiddos and just had a fun time playing around. Enjoy the slideshow!

New Tree

Thank you to Tad, my brother-in-law, for our new Princess Tree. I'm so excited to watch this tree grow with Isaac. I was REALLY excited that we got it in the ground during one dry day that wasn't too hot either! Now we're just praying it doesn't drown from all the rain. We had some MAJOR helpers in the garden. Vivi just loves digging with her tools and cutting/pruning mommies plants. Isaac...not so sure about digging in yet!

Ellen's Princess Bash

Happy Birthday Sweet Ellen! We certainly enjoyed Ellen's princess birthday. I was so amazed at how sweet it is to just see little girls in their princess dresses and how much fun they have being admired. We had a great time playing pretty, pretty princess, making crowns, and eating cupcakes (or at least the icing!). Thank you for having us for a fun time.

A Fun Lunch!

A few weekends back, Nick took a trip down to Goliad to get ready a hunting property for the season. I opted to stay back with the kids but I did a pretty good job keeping busy and making the weekend fun with the kids. We took a small trip to Grapevine Mills mall for some returns/exchanges and decided to spoil the kids with a fun lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. At first, I wasn't too sure as Vivi was really unsure about the mechanical alligator but as we got inside she was in awe of all the animals and she's still talking about how the gorillas (the not real gorillas) were speaking English. Isaac was mezmorized by the fish (real ones this time!). Thank you nana for joining us. Unfortunately, because of lighting it was hard to capture good shots but maybe you can kind of see our fun. We ended the lunch with a special dessert with a sparkler in all. Vivi thought it was really cool.

New Faces of Isaac

There have been some major changes going on outside (hello fall!) and inside (hello Isaac!). I didn't realize how much until I scanned through some pics I've captured of Isaac. Check out some of his newest faces. He's really growing into a big boy. Now we are up to 6 teeth, lots of babbling, pointing his one finger (I'm almost one!),making an "ooh" face and the sound too, also sticking his tongue up over his new front top teeth, climbing (up chairs, Vivi's stepstool, you name it!), walking while holding your hands but all over the house literally! He's really an explorer and we're just having so much fun with him.
