Happy Anniversary Nick! We made it 10 years which by today's standards is not an easy feat. I have so enjoyed these fun-filled times and I look forward to many more. Thanks to the help and prayers of many, we were able to enjoy a 7 day cruise by ourselves to celebrate our 10 years and it was FABULOUS!! Enjoy the slideshow.

Crazy whirlwind week!

After returning from the weekend of being away, I got some troubling news. My granddad was in a hospital in Waco not doing well. This was very shocking as I had just seen him at the wedding the previous Saturday and he was doing okay. At this point, we were just having to take it day by day. My mom was down there taking care of him that whole week. This was hard news in an of it self but on top of that Nick and I were planning to leave the following Saturday for a week long cruise to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. My mom was supposed to be caring for my kids so we were needless to say VERY NERVOUS and unsure if we'd even be able to go. Fortunately, my granddad got much better after his second surgery and is now at home doing quite well. Another beautiful blessing, no doubt due to lots of prayer, Nick and I were able to go on our trip. Look for the next post about this!

Weekend with Daddy

While mommy was on the road to a concert and wedding, daddy was home with kids for the weekend. We both had great and very different looking weekends. I was able to visit A&M and see an old childhood friend. We had a great visit and decided we'll have to bring the kids and go visit this summer sometime. Thanks Kerri for your hospitality again!! Then Saturday I headed to Austin for my cousin's wedding. It was a nice night and Sunday I headed back home and almost instantly into work. Daddy in the mean time was a champ. He even took the kids to Dallas for a child's birthday party. It was the son of a good friend of his, which was awesome but I was so proud that he was willing to do it all by himself. Here are a couple of pictures from that party. This cake was very impressive!

We had a lovely very low key Easter this year. We had a weekend with my family at my mom's mostly with some fun Easter baskets, dinners out, a double date (which went ary. Don't see "Water for Elephants" unless you have a STRONG stomach for animal abuse!), a yummy Easter dinner and a day off from work! It truly was a good time. Enjoy the pics.

For Earth Day my sister found a really cool local farm that was open with all their farm animals to pet and feed. It was a great cool day and the kids had such a fun time. Vivi was so excited to see a little goat that had been born the night before. We bought some yummy salsa and enjoyed homemade tamales. Fun times! The last photos were from later that evening when Isaac helped daddy complete the day outside cutting the grass. This was too cute to pass up with the camera.

Is it Camping Time yet Mom?

This is a question I've been hearing a lot in our house. I think Vivi really enjoyed our last camping trip last fall so kind of at the last minute we were able to pull together this camping trip with two of our good friend's families. Isaac was a little outnumbered but overall they did great with it! It's was the first trip without the pack-n-play for Isaac. Nick had to work with him for a while but eventually he fell asleep. The best part was hiking down to this lake and all of our kids deciding to get in (none in swimsuits). We just rolled up their jeans most of which got soaked, and stripped Isaac down to his diaper. All of this trip almost didn't happen as Vivi got a stomach bug the preceding Monday and mommy got it on Thursday night into Friday but we were able to make it Saturday morning and it was still so much fun even if for one night. Enjoy the slideshow.

Little Gym's

We have a fond place in our hearts for The Little Gym's. Vivi did lessons there when I was pregnant with Isaac and I always wanted Isaac to have a shot. When it showed up half price on Groupon I jumped at it! Here are a couple shots of him there. Our kids physically are very different. Vivi is much like me and cautious. Isaac on the other hand, throws caution to the wind and is in LOVE with anything he can jump off of, hang from, or pretty much injure himself at. Nick has informed me we need a separate emergency room budget for this kid. You will probably agree if you spend any length of time with him. Enjoy the shots!

A Tea for a Princess

One of our sweet friends spoiled us by inviting Vivian to a Princess Tea. As some of you know, she is not really into princesses or dressing up but she was quite the sport with encouragement from mom. Mom, on the other hand, is as girly as they come. I just enjoyed the time with my girl doing things we only can do as girls. Thank you to our generous friends who let us be a part of their special day.
