First Days of School

Vivian is doing great in her new preschool and museum school. On the first day of school she was dressed, shoes and all with backpack on waiting for me. This has NEVER happened in all her preschool career. When she walked into class she said, "Mom, I'm ecstatic to be here!" I was floored! On the first day of museum school she was so excited to sport her new turtle t, especially because this is her class mascot. She is really learning and talking a lot. She shared with her Gigi on the phone the other night, and Gail said someone put a quarter in her. This is so true. She is handling all the transitions beautifully! I hope all of you are enjoying your new start to the school year. Also, I'm sharing one of the new things keeping Isaac busy while Vivi's at school. My dad swiped this one for us. Thanks Papa!

This Labor day was a great time! We spent the day discovering this little park my sister had found and let the kids just have a blast. I WISH WISH this park were only a little closer as we'd have some major birthday party there. Enjoy the slideshow.

Isaac's first haircut

For many of you who don't get to see as often, we need to introduce to you our "big" boy. Isaac looks like a whole new man after his first haircut. We went to the lady who has cut Nick's hair for the last 9 years. He did a great job sitting still. Vivi did a great job encouraging him all the way and got a trim as well. We had a great time filming this event except mommy cried, because he really looks like a big boy to me now. Enjoy the before and after shots.

Wee #14- School Week

I'm once again behind, but a few weeks back we had our last week of the summer which we themed back to school. Let the craziness begin! On that Monday my mom had the kids all day so I could go through training (because of on top of Vivi starting back to preschool at a new place, and Nick starting a new job, I went back to work at The Container Store)! WOW! She did some little lessons as my mom is a retired teacher and made cute bus cookies with them. Of course, this is what I heard about the most. Tuesday we watched Claire and did some work with some erase boards. She and Vivi had a ball with this (and I have the couch marks to proove it!) Wednesday, Nick and I and Vivi all got sick so that took our house out! Thursday night we had meet the teachers at Vivi's new preschool and we were actually able to attend by the grace of God. That weekend was Labor day weekend which I'll blog more about next. It was a wipe out for our last week of summer. We did however (a little later) finish a project mommy had started for back to school and that was two art books filled with Vivi's best art from the past two years of preschool. Vivi had fun decorating the covers with stickers and helping me organize all her art work mommy kept. We hope everyone had some fun reading what we were up to this summer.

Mom's B-day

Thanks to all my friends and family for a lovely birthday! I was very overwhelmed by all the nice posts on my facebook, calls, and fun gifts. Thank you to each of you.
Included are a couple of shots of Nick and I. He took me on a fun date downtown for dinner and walking around. These are the water gardens where we enjoyed people watching and then headed to a local chocolatier for some special treats. The following day my mom and sister spoiled me with a special cake, some homemade really neat treats, and a pedicure! So spoiled!

Week #13 Sports

As summer comes to a close so do our themes. We are down to the last two weeks and my steam is running out! Still, I tried to keep some idea of our themes going on. Two weeks ago we did sports. Included are a couple of shots from some spur of the moment play dates, a couple special dollar store items I found (bubbles and whistles) and then just goofing around. Enjoy!
