Our summer has come to an end, but before I wanted to create a couple of posts from our last weeks of summer. We had a great time with our Under the Sea week. There wasn't a lot going on during the week- mostly watching "Finding Nemo", swimming at our cousins, getting a couple of cute new shirts, and a couple of crafts. The real fun came on the weekend! I hosted a little party for our friends from school. It was really sweet and I had fun reviving some of my old decorations from previous parties I had planned for others. Vivian had a great time helping me decorate too and getting the giveaways all set up. We had a little sprinkler bash in our backyard with mermaids and water galore! Nick was a champ helping me to figure out how to keep our lawn somewhat alive for this party and providing a few options for the kids to run through water. We took out our old slip-in-slide, a kiddy pool, and a great spraying sprinkler. I provided fishy cupcakes that turned out so cute thanks to Nana and Papa for all your help as well! The best part according to the kids were the little mermaids swimming in their bubbles with water (blue saran wrap cut into pieces in a recycled apple container from Costco). Enjoy the slideshow.

Well, we made it to August!! Yeah!! We have only two more weeks of theme and then it will be just about school time. WOW! This first week in August we had a farm and cowboy & cowgirl theme. It was a fun time. We also had my niece for a few days of this week as my sister and hubbie got to travel for their anniversary now. It was a good trade off. Chloe had a good time with our family and we kept busy and tried to stay in pools most of the time. Monday was pretty lowkey, heading to the gym and watching one of my all time favorites "Charlotte's Web" with Vivi. Tuesday we joined my parents at the farm. The kids got to have a fantastic time of swimming and riding horseback with their papa. We packed sandwiches and watermelon. It was great!! Wednesday I had all three to myself and I was brave. I took them to the Cowgirl Museum, and praise God all three behaved beautifully! I wanted to treat them to a special lunch but the restaurant was closed!! SAD!! So, they got a Chickfila run instead. All is well! Thursday we headed to the mall for some indoor play, a trip to Build-A-Bear, and they had some fun arts and crafts and games going on that day in the mall. The main reason I wanted to go Nana treated us to- a carousel ride on the ponies!! This day was not as smooth but with Nana and I both we were able to tag team it. Friday I took the kids to see a friend of mine Dale and she allowed us to swim and made sandwiches for us. She lives out in the country so I clumped it all in! Friday night my parents treated the kids to see "Smurfs" which actually turned out real nice and was packed! Saturday we ran some errands and Nick and I actually enjoyed a date using our first babysitter. Overall, it was a great week. Enjoy the slideshow.

VBS- Pandamania-Week 10

We had a great week at VBS Pandamania!! It was a busy week of having somewhere to be every day but a welcome change as mommy didn't feel like she was entertaining all day long. It was great! I did volunteer so Isaac could be a part of it too. The kids had a great time with the music and wearing their panda shirts every day. Here's a couple of pics. Only sad part, I didn't take many pics. Thanks to our friend's Ms. Erin, Clara and Beckett for all your planning and sharing lunch with us. Thanks also to Ms. Angie, Amelia and Jillian who I didn't capture any pics of but we ate sandwiches with every day nearly! The only thing panda I did outside of VBS was let my kids eat at Panda Express one night (one of our favorites so there are a couple of shots of this!) I'm sure Vivi watched "Kung Fu Panda" at least three times this week as well as look at a book that talked about Chinese culture (so we could relate the pandas in). Oh well, bring on some cooler temperatures so we can do something outside!!

A big thanks needs to go out to our Aunt Em for a wonderful dance class this summer! I think the girls had a blast! I wanted to include a little slide show of this. Vivian always loves dancing with her Auntie but getting to actually take a "class" this summer was so special. I know she will remember this dearly. Thank you for letting us be a part of it.
