This past week we studied the circus. It was a bit of a three-ring-circus of a week- not only were we trying to keep our themes going (and in this heat!). It was also Nick's last week at the company he's been with for 6 years. He also left for a trip on Thursday early early morning and was gone all weekend. Finally, I was also interviewing for a position I'm hoping to get for part-time work as I am trying to find something for evenings and weekends. So...needless to say we were busy!

Monday we stayed close to home eating animal crackers, watching "Bug's Life" (which has a circus act in it) and working on our circus act with hula hoops, balls, and music. Tuesday we attempted the zoo with our good friends Amelia and Jillian only a small small section because of the heat, but we were targeting "circus" animals- monkeys, giraffes, elephants. That afternoon we took on our big craft project painting a circus train and then we took some rides around our house with our circus animals. Wednesday I had my interview, so Nana set up an awesome three ring circus act with the kids. Vivi and I were able to sneak away to the library to trade in our under the sea books for circus books, and more. We attempted to find "Dumbo" but it's a lost cause. That evening we made clown hats and did some clowning around. Thursday, we said goodbye to daddy and then headed to my sister's for sleepover. Friday we woke-up and headed to the actual circus. Thank you Nana and Papa!! It was a blast!! We hit the dollar bins at Target on Thursday and found the jackpot of cotton candy and animal crackers so we brought them along. The kids did really great. Vivi's favorite part was getting a sparkly pony which she calls Sparkle. Isaac's favorite part was the people being shot out of the cannons so we got him a little cannon with a flying little guy. It actually shoots him out. Enjoy the shots.
