The Frozen After party Party

After our sleepover for Vivi's birthday, we wanted to have a little party with our church friends, and of course with the popularity of "Frozen" I couldn't resist. So we met up at a local yogurt shop and had our "Frozen" party just enjoying some frozen yogurt! Here are a few snapshots.

I just can't believe it! My little girl is 8 years old! Where has the time flown? This year we decided to do something Vivian loves for her birthday-camping. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate so much. No rain, but a real cold night- so we turned our camp out into a camp in. I had loads of fun playing with the night owl theme and gathering up sticks, logs, and whatever other natural resources I could for this party. My main inspiration came from the brown bag. The kids did get a little time to jump and play in the playhouse and we did get to still do our scavenger hunt just inside. The best part, we did still get to make a fire and roast marshmallows for smores! We had a craft of making birch chip necklaces and then we sat down to eat grilled hot dogs, beans, and corn on the cob camp out cuisine. We then had fun with the scavenger hunt which proved harder then Nick and I though originally. Then we lined up all the girls to sing happy birthday and enjoy some owl cupcakes. Vivian and I also took the brown bag theme and came up with this idea to stuff some bags for the homeless, just something that's been laid on our hearts. We had all the girls make a bag to take. Then it was pj time and off to some games. Pillow fights took place, marshmallow stuffings, and finally a dance off to "Happy" and sing off to "Let it Go" of course. We ended the night with a movie and some smores. Overall, it was a great success. We had so much fun making a great memory. Love you our little night owl!

A Barbie Fashion Event

Spring is upon us, which means lovely weather, lovely flowers, and birthday party season. My niece's birthday is usually the first of the season and my sister always does a lovely job putting together a fun theme. I gave her a little inspiration and she ran with it! Enjoy the slideshow of Chloe's Barbie Fashion 7th Birthday! Happy birthday sweet niecey!

Valentine's Day

This year, I did not do a good job of documenting what was a REALLY FUN Valentine's date! My hubby surprised me with flowers on Tuesday and a cd with one song "Unchained Melody" on it. He said in a little note, this is a hint to our Valentine's plans on Friday. I thought Ghost...we're going to make pottery? Even better, he took me to see "Ghost" at the Bass Hall. It was so fun getting all fixed up and having a great date. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures! I did snap a shot of the flowers. We also went out to dinner on Tuesday because he likes to do the unexpected like give me a date before the biggest date night of the year. The other shots are of me and my minions which we did a little celebrating too.

Stockyards

Again, we did get a warmer day stuck in the middle of the ice storms that we got to go visit the Stockyards. We had to take Christian our nephew as he had never been. Isaac also had the great little cowboy festival at school which I fortunately again got to get in before I got sick. Crazy how much these seasons affect us-weather and sickies. Booh! Enjoy the slideshow.

Spring Time

Slowly slowly spring time is approaching. Other than cookies, we wanted to give Isaac and outlet so we decided to take a break from karate and try our first sport-baseball. Check out his excitement. I was pretty leary until I saw Isaac at his first practice-wow!

Happy New Year!

After the crazy ice, we had unusually warm New Year's. This year it was pretty easy going. We just hung out here with the kids and then headed to my sister's for the day. Thanks Em for always hosting this one. We then did get to see a bunch of family friends we haven't seen in awhile. This is a shot of all the kids who mainly just ran around the house. Then we geared up for the start of...Girl Scout cookie season. As most of you have heard, this has been a long season mostly because I decided to be cookie mom again but also many complications this year. Never the less we made our goal so she will be going to camp again! Thanks to all who helped support us. It is finally done, now so this is why I'm posting today. LOL!
