Cowboy Round-up!

As mentioned in a few posts back, we have just had the best time at Vivi's school this year. One other annual event they host is the cowboy round-up running parallel with the Stockshow. They asked parents to be involved and I didn't realize what all they needed help with but jumped at the chance. I was so impressed yet again with all the teachers had come up with. They had this wooden cow cut out with a pink glove with holes in the fingers. I got to run this station with another mom. We filled up the glove and the kids "milked" the cow into a bucket. It was a mess and they loved it! They also had wooden steers the kids "roped" with hula hoops and horseshoes. Then they had horsey stick races. After a brief break (where mom's got to eat a lunch together so nice!) the kids had a picnic with cornie dogs, chips, and smores. What fun!
