Vivi's Lost Her First teeth-yes 2!
A couple of days before Vivian's 6th birthday she lost her first teeth-yes her bottom 2 teeth! Nana did pull them out but we needed to as her permanents were right behind. The tooth fairy left her two half dollars-big score!!
Janae's She's Gonna Pop Owl Shower
Another scrapbook design by Smilebox |
This was my first baby shower to host for a co-worker and it was a blast! Another young lady I work with came up with the idea for "She's gonna pop!" for a theme and I had fun. Mostly, I cleaned my house, and many sweet women poured out lots of time and talent into creating. I will take credit for the house and the cupcakes which I made into the shape of an owl as we tried to incorporate owls because our lovely friend Janae loves them. The other thing you'll notice is the yellow/gray theme which are her nursery colors. So fun! It was a great night and we had a great turnout of around 30 people or so. I think everyone had a nice time, enjoyed great food, and Janae felt loved. Most important!

Party Central
Okay as mentioned before, we have had and hosted so many parties in the last couple of months and they aren't over yet! Here is a shot from Jillian's build a bear-too cute as I got to bring Isaac. He was a stinker but still ended up getting a puppy out of the deal. Also included is a shot of Vivi with two classmates at a party at the bowling alley. Let me just say, I REALLY liked that party...Hmm...light bulb!

Valentine's Simple
This year I thought I'd keep Valentine's simple since I knew so many parties were up and coming. So, I really didn't do too much for the kids. My mom actually got them a couple of mailboxes and I got a couple of treats. See pictures. We were also trying not to spend too much after redoing our flooring! I had lunch with my hubbie who did a great job of giving me gorgeous star gazer lilies at lunch. We did lunch because I had to work V-day night. So, needless to say it was pretty low key. What turned out to be not so lowkey was a gift I tried to assemble for Vivian's teacher. Let me just say for any mom readers if you are trying to come up with a teacher gift don't do anything that requires a picture from every kid in the class unless you have access to school pictures. This took a lot of coordination. I think it turned out adorable and I think her teacher liked it a lot but it was a lot of running around (even though it looks so simple!) Lesson learned, next year it may be a box of chocolates!

Free photo slideshow customized with Smilebox |
We have entered the season of parties and I'm talking like I've never done them! This was the first of many posts you are going to see on parties. Just get ready! This is my niece's Candyland party which was ADORABLE! My sister was smart and had it at the gym so she didn't have to worry about entertainment just cute decorations and a fabulous cake-way to go Nana! Enjoy the slideshow.
